Holy Cow... CHOCOLATE GRAVY?!?! Yes, that's right. Chocolate Gravy!

Chocolate Gravy
It is known to be a more southern thing, but I'm going to try to bring it up north! Trust me Its awesome and super easy to make! try it out on your kids or if you don't have any of those just try it for yourself!

When I was younger I would go out to Kentucky to visit my father and the rest of my family that was down there. This Chocolate Gravy was a Christmas treat and sometimes it would show up around thanksgiving, but before we would get to opening presents we would have breakfast which included this awesomeness! As I got older I wanted to make this Gravy for myself whenever I wanted instead of just around the holidays. I found out that it wasn't magic that made this delicious gravy but very few ingredients and even shorter cooking time. So Now I'm here to share it with you, Hopefully you like it! It needs to catch on up north, The south already has a bunch of great food, we need this!!! lol

We start off by first melting a 5 tablespoons of unsalted sweetened butter. Once its fully melted,

we will add about 4 tablespoons of sugar, 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder, and last add 3 tablespoons of flour, stir and combine well.

After your done mixing together those ingredients you will want to add about 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla and you will slowly incorporate 1 cup of milk, adding in about 1/4 cup at a time making sure you stir in all the milk before adding more, you should get something that looks like the picture above once you've added all the milk. After that its ready to be eaten, You can pour it over biscuits which is how its normally eaten or you can put it over fruit, really its whatever you want to use it for! I love this stuff and I hope that you enjoy it too!

As Always thanks for stopping by! Until Next time! May your food Adventures be GREAT!!
